60Tidy House and Clear Mind
When a home is tidy, and everything is organized, the mind is at peace. We don't end up waisting time and energy, and getting stressed when we know where everything is. That important document, the ingredients for dinner, your laundry room the the never ending piles. With a few simple hints, your life can be more peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable at home.
1. DISCARD EVERYTHING THAT IS NOT USED. If it's a keep sake, use totes and store them in the attic. If it's no longer a necessity, donate to Good Will.
2. EVERYTHING SHOULD HAVE A HOME. Kids items belong in kids rooms, cleaning supplies go in laundry room, cooking items go in the kitchen. Do not store your kids items in the living room. Don't keep mail and desk items in the kitchen.MAKE A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING. WHEN IT IS USED, PUT IT BACK IN IT'S HOME. If there isn't enough space for everything, decide what you are going to get rid of.
3.LABEL ONE LAUNDRY BASKET WITH EACH FAMILY MEMBERS NAME. For the quickest declutter go through each room collecting the individuals items for the basket in your hand. When these are collected, deposit the basket in that persons room for them to put away. Continue with the rest of the family. Removing everyones personal clutter allows you to quickly straighten up.
4. RECYCLE OLD NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES. If your office, church or local medical center enjoy your old reading material, collect it in a bag and take it out to your car. Books no longer used can be sold to Half Price Books, or donated to the library or schools. By removing the piles, and taking them to the car, you will be one step closer from them being removed from the house.
